About
The long-term research goal of SAIL is to integrate advanced sensing and machine learning for knowledge discovery and performance improvement of complex systems. Methodologies developed in SAIL focus on sensor-based process monitoring, anomaly detection, prediction, and optimization. Applications include advanced manufacturing, smart health, transportation, chemistry, and policing.
Research Focuses
Current research focuses of SAIL include:
- In-situ mining and anomaly detection of advanced manufacturing processes
- Additive manufacturing of metamaterials for desired properties and performances
- Multi-modal data processing for healthcare informatics
- Mobile/Web applications for smart health
- Internet of Things (IoT) with applications in advanced manufacturing and smart health
